This may be more of a marketplace type of post, but I've recently come across the opportunity to get you guys on the forum nearly ANY OEM Ducati part for 14% off the factory price, and free shipping. Ducati Performance parts inclusive. Would require friends/family payment on PayPal or the discount would only be 11%

If anyone has any interests in specific parts, PM me and I will put together a list and place an order. If you're looking to play the flake game please stay away.

I would not accept any money until I was physically able to hold it in my hands/send you a picture so Phil and Steve let's keep this up as an opportunity to help this community save some bucks on what they need/want.

Should there be enough interest I will become a forum supporting vendor to be fair given this would be a real business transaction and not me acting as a regular Joe.

I would need to put together everything in a single order as of now so don't hesistate- PM me. Don't miss out!

Edit: to calculate prices use Pro Italias website and base off of their set prices. Thanks.

Dylan

Per Ducati USA website parts must be installed by an authorized dealership for warranty for a period of 24 months. Should something arise and there be a big issue getting DNA To warranty a part I would personally make the issue a nonissue. For the veryminimal profit I'd be making I still wouldn't mind reassuring anyone's satisfaction.

Ok so you are saying that anyone who buys an item from this sale will NOT get a receipt showing it was purchased new??

I just spoke with Ducati.... and everyone should be aware of these facts before purchasing any items via this route...

1) it is a serious violation of the Ducati dealer agreement for a dealer to wholesale parts to another party with the intention of brokering or retailing the parts. Ducati will sanction the dealer heavily if they find out who it is, which is not hard for them to find out.
2) the Ducati Performance warranty for all parts, accessories and apparel requires the items to be purchased directly from an authorized Ducati dealer.

So whilst everyone is free to do as they wish I feel it is my job here to point out whats involved and the ramifications of this...

Most dealers will give you the 15% anyway and no questions about the warranty... so....

If you want to be seen as a professional seller..then please act like one..... I redacted some of your post....

So Steve I guess nobody should ever buy a used item anyway?
Is a piece of carbon fiber something you would ever need warranted? What could possibly happen to a non-mechanical part that would ever need to be warranty replaced anyway? of al the Ducati performance parts I've bought I've never sought any sort of warranty replacement...

You're right your dealership may give you the 10-15, then you're paying 6-10% sales tax on the original value anyway.

.

Just pointing out some salient points..... People will make their own decisions...

Separately, thanks for editing my post. I'm in the middle of a sparkling job and was coming back on to revise my comments after a 30 second cool down period and found you did so immediately. Gracias.

Now, tell me why I shouldn't go on every single thread of yours and point out how your items may have a warranty issue. Should you want an item and know you are 100% covered and won't have a slight issue (with Ducati good luck!), then you go pay full price and tax at your dealership. Yes, there is a slight chance you may have a warranty issue, but more people than not would choose a savings over a 100% warranty "guarantee."

I sure hope you don't ever go to a used car dealership. They just may negotiate a lower price and not include a warranty and you may lose your cool and call them out online.

The guys/girls of the forum will decide whether they agree with you...My point is that you are trying to offer a service to the members A service which has its merits..but I felt it necessary to point out certain facts..... and if you want to be seen as a seller of note with a reputation to go along with it then you should maintain your decorum and not snipe....

Just so you know.... Your buying parts online from ANY AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP, and then installing yourself is grounds for Ducati to deny warranty that item anyway according to their terms you act as if you're so well versed in. So Steve that race seat you installed is not covered by warranty because you put that one acre in the seat mount.

No, you can message me and tell me. I can then revise my listing accordingly how you'd like for full disclosure. No need to once again jump all over me.

Practice what you preach.

Just curious but if your trying to help the community out and your dealer likes you so much why can't you just tell the members to call the parts department and maybe they can give a discount similar to jarel?

And yes sometimes the carbon fiber can come with a imperfection, sometimes carbon huggers melt and Ducati warranties it as long as u have proof of purchase from a authorized dealer

Not trying to argue with anyone, but posting a 14% discount because your dealer supports you or sponsors you etc and without a resale tax id you have to pay the dealer sales tax anyway. I get what your doing by helping others and helping yourself but you could have just put something along the lines of your ordering parts if anyone wants anything due to your dealer giving you a discount for being a loyal customer

Regardless I know the Ducati rep for the northeast region is also on here. So if he sees it maybe he will chime in.

I know your prob going to blow up and vent out on the forum in 3.2.1

I think STW is just looking out for al our best interests (including yours) in case their is an issue from Ducati, I don't think he is doing anything different of what his roll would be as a Moderator, to protect all our best interests. Anyways, I hope you don't take nothing personal because I don't believe it is a personal attack.
You are an asset to this forum and we appreciate doing business with you, so lets just continue in that manner"¦

I think you may have missed your calling PA, you might be better served as a mediator in the middle east conflict.........of course if diplomacy doesn't work you could always call in ARSE for a more physical approach.:D

I would be cautious with this seller for the sole reason as he does not follow through with commitments.

He puts a wanted add up for parts I agree to the price he wants to pay and no money despite him saying he can send funds ASAP

Several days go by no money despite his commitment then says he doesn't have the funds seems every day he has something new for sale

Questionable at best

Buyers beware

Why would a dealer sell multiple Ducati Performance items at a discount for resale to an online forum? Im sure the dealer wouldnt know the party is intending to resale said items but after a period of time anyone with common sense would get suspicious. I am not stating anything against you Dylan. This is how is how I perceive this situation.

I think a question about DP part warranty on Carbon Fiber came up: I have had multiple pieces on other bikes completely fade after one month, I have had pieces delivered cracked. I have had pieces that werent "patterned" right. Why does that matter? If I am going to spend $400 dollars for a swingarm cover specifically because it is a Ducati part then I want the warranty along with the lubrication that comes with it.

My personal opinion would be to try to find a more lucrative way to make side money without all of the hassle that would come with since you are not a dealer and would be a middle man with all the risk.
