Let us know next time you get there ;)

Will do; you wouldn't have wanted to be around for this last trip, as we were noodling for most of it. Were even taking it pretty easy in the corner where my bud managed to wreck his VStrom. I'm taking part of the blame there though; I'd let him ride my Pani for about an hour, and he hadn't been back on his bike for more than 15 minutes or so when he went down. How quickly the Pani corrupts one to take great handling and even better brakes for granted... ;)

Worst of all, he was wearing his GoPro chestie-style and had the poor form to wreck without having it turned on. Unacceptable.

Planning on this weekend. Saturday or Sunday. Not sure, which yet...waiting on weather.

I was following a rider that wrecked, and my damn GoPro battery was dead, it was only holding a 30 sec charge at the time. I have since upgraded to the pair on Amazon with higher amperage. I was so ashamed :D

So jealous of you lucky SOBs. Enjoy it for me. I can only imagine of taking an afternoon blast down those roads any day of the week...

Actually you don't want to do it in the afternoon.

Best time is early Sunday mornings. I leave the house around 7 a.m. I'm up at Turner's Corner / Blood Mtn a few minutes after 8. Ride for two or three hours on empty roads (all the locals are in church). Back home around 12 or 1 just as church is getting out. :)

Were you at the Vortex yesterday? I saw one base Pani as we were riding out.

Vortex as in Little 5 pts/Mid-town? Not I. Wouldn't venture down that way on any sort of M/C. (I'm adverse to cars. They're out to get ya!). I will admit to occasionally frequenting Cycle Gear over on Hurrican Shoals. But downtown Lawrenceville is as dense a metropolitan area as I'm willing to ride in. :)
The educational system in GA has put citizens with the cognitive ability of treestumps in the driver's seats.

Sorry it's not my Ducati, but here is a picture of me on the "Dragon" last week before hitting north Georgia....

Yup, that's the way we used to do it in NC when I lived in Raleigh. You'd rip by those rural churches in the AM and their parking lots would be overflowing while we enjoyed the roads all to ourselves. I meant that I am lucky enough to be a consultant and work from home, so a quick afternoon/evening blast if the roads were that close would be a daily ritual for me.

Now when I go to the Smokies, I leave on Sunday night and ride all during the week and come back on Thursday before the weekend. Epic!

FYI,
TWO (two wheels only) motorcycle campground reopens tomorrow June 1 in Suches, place will be packed!

As was previously said, it is so good to hear that they are opening again. I lived in ATL back in the late 80's going to college, and TWO was the place I would ride up to in order to meet other sport riders to blitz the surrounding mountains. I wish I could be there at that grand re-opening just to celebrate what eventually came the best hobby I ever started!
