Installed a CBE Housing yesterday and going through the injector re-assembly right now. The housing is kinda short, see the offset in the lower tube. I wasn't able to line it up perfectly and still have the pump outlet tube and water-return elbows fully seated against the head. The Samco kit is certainly cut to length at the barbs.
I'm at 3300 miles and the intake valves seem to have too much buildup. When I removed the secondary air system months ago, I somehow missed installing the rear airbox plug, where the reed-valves send the excess case pressure back in. I think this has allowed a second* cyclone to be made inside the airbox by the rear plug not being installed, allowing the pressurized air box to vent. So the anti-cyclone post air filter, variable intakes and shrouds have not been efficient, this in turn throws off the air to fuel ratios at different speeds - VIS settings at RPM and controlled air through filter. I think the the MAP sensors were reading the airbox pressure correctly and sending "too" much fuel, but in reality the airbox air flow was being vented, leading to the buildup. Wanted to pass the info along regarding the sealed airbox, and if anyone has cleaned intake valves with CRC GDI intake valve cleaner? Or have any tools to recommend?
And the stripped airbox screw...they're M4x8mm by the way, not M4x10mm as the part drawing suggests. 8mm thread length with 2mm head
