Finally, it's time to replace the battery in 1199s

The battery seems dead. Even I connected it to battery tender, it doesn't go up more than 12.0 V.

I think it's time to use either Li battery or stock one.

It would be appreciated if you guys give suggestions!

My WPS lithium just got here today, ill give a report in a few.

My stock one has been dead for 6 weeks

I use Lithium in all my bikes except the new GS I have it's only a couple of weeks old.
Never touch them with a charger and the cheapest weight saving money can buy!

I bought a couple of shorais for my 1199 and a Husaberg but then bought a cheap Li off ebay for my K1300S and it has been just as good for half the price. I think it was SSB Powersport or similar.

Shorai I had in my 1098 died and couldn't be revived after about 18months service.

Since then I've had SSB in 250 and 300 Shirco's and the SSB I have now in my 1199 was in the 899 then moved to 959, really happy with them so far. Triumph Tiger also had an SSB but forgot to swap out when I sold it I wanted it for the lawn mower, spewing!

Yep had my WPS in my Husaberg for months and its way better then the stock battery, more CCA.

I just put a Shorai in my 1199 a couple of weeks ago. The stock battery lasted five years. The Shorai takes a little creativity to put in the Panigale, but I had it done in about an hour. The problem is that the bike really does not have a battery box, more of a frame. The Shorai is much smaller than the stock battery.

Dont know about full dimensions, but you could probably used the Pani R
battery holder.

Which shorai do you have? The 1 that came with mine is taller than factory. The previous owner sort of jerry rigged it a little to fit.

The WPS is almost the same size and took about an hour. You have to drill out the battery connections because they are a hair offset from the factory location. Mo big deal.

Cranked over just fine and started after 6 weeks in its usual rumph rumph rum

LFX14A2-BS12. It's shorter than stock I'd guess maybe by 3/4". The length is a good two inches less than stock and depth maybe 1/2". I'm not home now or I'd be more precise. If I get a chance later this week I'll take a picture of it installed.

Ah, maybe i should check and see which 1 i have then. Mine fits in the battery holder and just a little tall. There is a nut spacing up the battery tie down on the bolt side, and it does not connect to the front (left) retainer of the holder.

Did you go with V spec or XR series for SSB?

The shorai LFX14A2-BS12 is the one that their webpage reccomends for the 1199, and is smaller than the stock battery.

I got an LFX18 (can't remember the rest of the code) which fits ok in the bracket, but it is slightly taller. I made some small modifications to the bracket and the crossbar over the battery and it works fine.

I have had mine for a little over 2 years without any issues.

Another vote for shorai. I had tried an earthx because they were USA made, but had two of them go bad in 12 months. No issue thus far with the shorai.
