Picked her up Saturday eve. What an amazing machine! This thing is ...!

I tried to post photos with this but they didn't show. The pix may be sideways and/or upside-down, but aren't on my Mac. Trying again...

I guess you like it then?? Lol... Welcome!!!

The R is the bomb! Congrats and enjoy it. Remember we're here for a good time, not a long time!

Congrats and welcome! Jealous of that motor...

Enjoy her. Paraphrasing ddd269, my built-up base is the best bike I've ever ridden in 24 years of 2-wheel obsession.

Three observations:
1. Smokes a little:D
2. Where's your plate?
3. Where are your mirrors?

Enjoy....Beautiful bike!!!

i have mine, a 1199s for two years now, saw so many pictures and so many clips about the panigale, but every time there is a new movieclip or pic i watch it and i think what a wonderful bike it is.

Congrats, enjoy the R!

Hahaha, very observant ttkarp and thanks!

1.They actually warned me before they fired it that it was going to smoke...A LOT! Some of it from the oils, etc in and on the race exhaust, and some from the rings needing to seat on the large pistons. The smoking has seemed to stop already. They told me I'd probably need to come by and get topped off with break-in oil before I hit my first service milestone.

2. No plate yet, it's fresh out of the crate!

3. The R comes with cool machined aluminum plates where the mirrors can go. I usually look at myself in the mirror before I get on the bike, so I should be OK. "Officer, I'm sure those things were on the bike when I left. You know these Italian bikes, stuff always rattling off..."

Don't joke about things falling off here:D

That dealership is inside the most awesomely designed facility ever. On the same lot, a Bentley/Rolls Royce dealership to the left and Maserati dealership to the right. All 3 attached to one another with Ducati in the middle and a hugeeeeeee garage/dyno area in the back. Amazing facility. Can't say enough.

Westlake Ducati!!!

Agreed!!! Adding to what you said about the amazing facility they put together, and more important in my opinion, is how great the people that work there are! Craig, Josh, Will, Casey, Laurel, and everyone else (I'm terrible with names) are all top shelf! I was treated like a VIP from the first time I walked in there. Their grand opening isn't until March so they're very busy bringing in new product, but they always stop and take time to make sure you are well taken care of. Westlake Ducati is THE Ducati dealership to go to in SoCal! Oh, and there's some ridiculously fun roads to ride just minutes away. :D

First time I've seen the red rim stripe on the R.

Agreed. Guess I'll see you there in March.

Definitely some good roads nearby. Will have to go check Ducati Westlake out.

Oh and congrats on the R!
