first impressions upon installing TERMIS

When I installed my slip ons I totally removed the flapper valve, even though it is fully open it still is something in the exhaust that prohibits flow, now my exhaust path is free and clear.

isn't the valve just meant to tone it down? to meet regulations?

The flapper valve would regulate back pressure at lower revs. The sound damping would just be a consequence.

That extra loop from the front cylinder may be what requires the electric fan to be removed! If so it would be pointless on a road going version and just a track/race option.

The Pani does not sound as beefy as previous model Ducati with Termis, but at full noise with the full system it is awesome.

The new superstock kit (if thats what you are talking about) - forces the removal of the front radiator fan (impactful) and rear passenger pegs (probably not as impactful). The question has been whether that removal of the radiator fan is just to accommodate worldwide liability concerns that the bike will overheat badly without it or whether it is marginal for most people (as in not in the middle east or Vegas/Phoenix etc type of climates). . .

My guess is that its probably fairly significant because look how often the fan comes on when you're normally riding about. If you're never really above 210 - then you're probably fine (maybe like scandinavia with little traffic, etc). But not having the fan will essentially cause the engine temp to jump about a degree every couple seconds after you have the engine up to temperature.

The other consideration is that if you look at the superstock manifold, it really compromises 3-7k. It gives you a great improvement from 7.5 up to 12, but below 7k its actually significantly worse - so something to consider. I thought about it but then cancelled my order.
