Finally had my first track day, ever. Took an ART course beforehand and read through Keith Code's books too and that prepped me enough to not dump my bike on turn 1 (a decreasing radius off-camber turn).
Ran 32/32 for my tire pressure (Supercorsa SPs) off of what the tire tech recommended. Used every inch of the tire. Ran DTC 3 and ABS 2 and EBC 3 I think.
I was very surprised by the control of bike, especially when trail braking into a turn. Power was amazing but I played it easy on my first day keeping it mostly in third gear to allow more attention for my RPs, POTs, and form.
The raceway is Miller Motorsport Park in Utah, it was the East track. Clean track, and every turn has a late apex so once you get that in your head it makes sense. Cant wait to go again and start shaving the seconds off.
I've only been riding for 1.5 seasons and I've only had my Pani since February and 6500 miles so I think we are finally starting to understand each other. Only problem with my bike is the clutch master gets air in it and had to be bled twice that day, and a grip pad flew off at some point. So worse things could have happened.
Heres a lap video and pic. I know I have lots of room for improvement so thats why I'm excited for next time cuz I was already passing everyone in my class. If anyone comes through Utah and want to hit a canyon or the track lemme know.
