I was looking at those in your thread and really like them. Just didn' want to hijack the thread.

We sell both the Sato and R&G kits, both are recommended. The Sato are a little easier to install, and the R&G are a little stronger. We just had a Tricolore go down at our track day last weekend with the R&G's on it and it saved the entire side of the bike, only damage was a broken shift lever. Also a Pikes Peak Multi with the R&G sliders and also no damage to the side of the bike or tank. If you crash hard (flip, high side, etc.) then all bets are off with ANY sliders, but for a low side these seem to do the trick.

We have them both listed here:

Yeah I like the R&G ones, had them on my RC8 they work awesomely! However, I went to their UK website, and downloaded the directions, what a PITA it looks like to install...lol.

They I think are still my first choice.

I wouldn't trade my beefy T-Rex sliders for anything...proven already!

I saw a Sato crack from my pit-mate being bumped in a corner at The Ridge over July 4 weekend....

MMC,

Are these good then? I was looking at the full set for track days:

T-Rex Ducati 1199 Panigale 2012 on Frame Sliders Front - Rear axle case sliders | eBay

I know the SATO's look good, but I would only really put them on for track days, and TBH at that price for the T-Rex's it's no real problem replacing them.

I don't need the protectors to look pretty, I want them to keep the bike pretty. After all, that's the point isn't it?

Love the way your bike looks but you know that ugly plastic you took off its there to force air across the motor and keep the bike cool. I had a honda motor (not on a bike) when I ran it without the covers it would over heat and shut down. Keep an eye on your temps.
