Thanks, Endo!

If you ever get around to installing it, if you wouldn't mind taking some pics of it that'd be great. Thanks!

Have you used this on track yet @Davyc ?

I did something very similar and had major problems with traction control cutting the engine coming out of corners. I've since ordered a new nose fairing frame from Ulf with a bracket which I hope will fix the problems. The other solution might be that it needs setting up on the dash ?

Iv had 16 races and the odd track day and no issues what so ever.
Works fine:

Cheers Davyc. Did you recalibrate via the dash to set this up? It's the only thing I can think of that I didn't do. Everything ran fine once I'd turned the TC/WC off so I'm certain the engine cutting was something to do with the IMU as it's the only thing that I had changed.

No recal required as the bracket is installed at the same angle as the original holder.!
We haven't had any issues at all

Hi all. Got through and completed my IMU installation a couple of week sur ago on my 2015 R, i.e., reinstall my IMU after having fitted a 1299 glass/Kevlar race fairing and matching larger race front air duct from Ricambi (all head light assembly removed). Ran the bike at the track the following week and all systems a go , meaning, the IMU worked great, reading and displaying real time data and recording lap min and max angles off the lap timer system, etc.

Bottom line? The 2015 R and the 1299s share the same IMU part # and position it in an identical location and attitude (on bike centerline Behring the head light assemble while pitched forward at a 45degree angle). But this is where the similarities of the 2 hikes stop (as far as the IMU installation goes). As the R is using incandescent light technology while the 1299 uses LED, the configuration of the light assembly behind the light (where the IMU installs are different and hence, both bike use different types of brackets and hardware to install the IMU on the respective bikes. I used the Ricambi IMU platform bracket designed for the 1299 so I had to purchase the 1299 IMU mounting bracket with its hardware from Ducati. Coupling the Ricambi bracket with1299 OEM hardware and some hardware and bushes allowed me to complete the installation and sit the IMU in the exact location and attitude.

Look good and works great.

So there, u have it, or at least, my solution.

do you have a pic of that setup? how much was all the additional 1299 IMU mounting bracket and hardware from the dealer?

Does anyone know where I can buy an imu bracket for an 1199 front fairing stay, which i'd like to install on my 1299 base to fit 1199 'street' fairings? Thanks

Hi guys, this is a rather old thread and I hope it still gets attention. :)

I want to put a race fairing on my 1299s with the oem front frame.

So reading all of this still makes me insecure and I also still dont know where to get the right bracket for the IMU from.

Can anybody help out?

Best regards,
Sammy
