Does anyone have any experience cleaning the front sprocket on the 1199? I looked around the bike and there has to be an easier way than what I have in mind. Which is to remove the shifter rod (clutch bolt in the way). Remove the cover to clean the sprocket.

Thanks

Unbolt the Slave Cylinder and push it to the side, then remove the sprocket cover bolts and sprocket cover.. Then spray the .... out of the sprocket with chain de-greaser and scrub it with a chain brush or toothbrush.. wipe it clean with a rag, reapply chain lube to chain, reassemble and voila your done bud.. pain free easy way..

Thanks guys, it was surprisingly very straight forward. And while I cleaned the front, I figured I take a pic to help others.

1) Lower LHS fairing off.
2) Clutch Slave off (three bolts - not actual entier removal off the hose!) Marked in RED
3) Remove Allen bolt (facing you) that connects shift rod to the gear change on the engine side. Marked in YELLOW
4) Remove sprocket cover 3 allens (2x3mm, and 1x5mm)

Blast it with degreaser.
