Hey folks. It's been a long busy winter and I havent looked at this site, or my panigale for that matter, in months. I was getting ready to haul it to a dealer for all of the recall and service bulletin work (has had none yet) when I recieved the latest about the heat shield. I was also informed of the remap by Duc service at the NYC IMS show. From what I hear the reflash is slightly different for different gear ratios. True or not, I'd like to do a front sprocket swap before I bring it to them, and have only seemed to find 520 sprockets, not 525. Are those who've done the swap used 520 sprockets? there is a small amount of width difference, is it of that much concern/ I use my Pani for coaching trackdays alot so it will get a bit of action at times. Also, has anyone ridden theirs with the reflash? Alot smoother at cruise speed?

Afam 52901-14 is the part you're looking for. As Gunny says bigger rear is preferable but costs alot more than changing the front (new chain etc). If you have the moo for Gunny's "bling" belt away, if you're on a budget then front is the way to go. I have gone down one tooth on the front on alot of previous bikes with no drama wear wise. To be honest the 520 conversion's not really worth the expense for road riders.
I'll probably go down the bling route myself when funds allow but I'll stick with the 525 set up when I do.

Just make sure you get the right sprocket, the "Driven" sprocket, first on Gunny's list won't fit the Pani. Some of the front's are inter-changable between 1098, 998, Diavel etc. but the Pani has a bigger output shaft 25mm as opposed to 22mm on the older bikes.

Thanks gunny and flipper. I am unsure of where this bike is going to spend most of its time so I want to go the cheap route until I see how I feel about the reflash and the gear change. If this thing ends up getting a race body and being a track mule, I will most definitely go the quick change 520 route. I did the -1 front on my 1198 and absolutely loved the change. I'm still not enjoying the Pani on the street the way I did the 1198, although the ergos are the primary reason. At the track the Pani has it big time over the 1198. I will throw a 14 front on, send it in for the reflash, heat shield and warranty issues, and see how it feels on the street.
Gunny, I searched about these sprockets but none of them actually said they were for the Pani, and was uncertain about the fit. Flipper having actually installed one make it easier.
Thanks again guys

Here are the Driven front/rear sprockets in 520 or 525, but at Bellissimoto. They will fit the Pani Link

Kyle Racing has the 520 conversion kit for the Pani.

There are lots of other places too. I kept the 525 set up, up 2 teeth on the rear sprocket.

I did some research, and the AFAM appears to win out over the Driven. But both are good.
