I like the looks of the black/carbon gas caps but what is nice about the OEM gas cap is the fact you don't need another key and there is no need to have to handle a small cap while fueling. I never get off the bike when fueling and picture myself dropping the cap on the ground. Have any of you guys dropped the loose cap on the ground while fueling?

Same sentiments I have in replacing to the DP cap...I love the "works" or "trick"" look though of these aftermarket looking black fuel gas caps... but dont want to deal with an extra cap to hold on to while refueling. Hmmmmmmmmm. Maybe I just need more convincing...

Yah, I've been thinking about this. Can't even put it on the seat, as the rubber gasket is greased

I just set it on the pump. What do you do with your car's? I like that I can leave the key in the ignition - you know, engine running, heater/stereo on. :)

The majority of the cars I've owned have had a rubber cord attached to the gas caps. However, my 2007 Lotus Exige S did not and guess what....I left it on top of the gas pump and drove off without it. Sh_t happens. I like the style of the aftermarket gas caps but the functionality is not as clean as the stock gas cap.
