when I ordered my SF I ordered her wit th full Akrpovic system. I know their expensive but love the system. The dealer installed it and took out the baffles. It sounded amazing but holy shot it’s loud. I just brought her back for the 620 service and had the baffling installed. Way better. I know she’s probably down a few HP but what a pleasure now to ride without blowing the neighborhood up and my ears.

I act only ride with ear plugs in and it was still way too loud if your moving. .... on the high way at 90 it’s running 8,000 and sounds like your doing a Dyno pull. Lol loved it wide open but if you ride a lot and in neighborhoods it’s more than I wanted. I didn’t notice any loss. Your mind is telling you it’s down on power because it’s much quieter but I really don’t think that’s the case.
 
do you have to get the exhaust installed at first service, or is there any technical reason why it can't be installed before initial delivery?

I have the db killers out on my Speciale and she It's loud especially on a cool day when the humidity is lower. I don't do highways but I can imagine that the sound could be a nuisance at higher rpms for a long period of time.

yeah for sure. I rode to the dealer who’s an hour away and was running 90 most of the way which is 8,000 rpms and holy .... it was like a dyno run for ever. Lol why loud

I got it installed on my SFV4s before delivery(that was my condition for the dealer and he did it for me)...Akra Slip ons and man they are loud even with baffles in ....I’m coming from a Monster 1200s with Termis and always had baffles out ...I just love the bike with Akra slip ons

I checked the bike and noticed the baffles aren’t even there .Maybe it comes like that or I wasn’t looking in the right spot which I highly doubt.My Monster 1200 had Termis and I used to switch the baffles in and out .I double checked the Akrapovic picture on the Ducati website and you’ll see the slip ons are shown without baffles and full exhaust shows baffles in it .Anyone else has noticed that ?
