I did not locate a clear answer if the GBRacing clutch cover would fit on the 2020+ V2 without modifying the plastics or needing race plastics, so I bought one and gave it a go. Here are my results for others who might consider this protection for their ride.

The EC-1199-2012-2-GBR clutch cover bolts over the OEM 2021 V2 clutch case without issue. You must first remove the "dust cover" part #4601D931A (which requires loosening many other bolts/parts, as is customary with a Panigale, lol). You must also trim some of the dust cover before reinstalling, otherwise, it will hit on the GBR mount points. NO MODIFICATIONS TO THE OEM RED (OR WHITE) PLASTICS ARE NECESSARY.

I ordered a spare dust cover on eBay in case I screwed up the trim process (it was very cheap as a used part). I used a Ryobi sander (stands on its own) to grind away the plastic on the dust cover in the areas where it was hitting the GBR cover. I then bolted the dust cover back on and Bob's your uncle.

I could have sanded more down to keep the dust cover from hitting the bolt areas of the GBR cover, but it really didn't make a difference. I didn't have to sand down much plastic (1/8 inch or less?).

Quick question for you...would you run the GB Covers WITHOUT Frame Sliders as opposed to a Clutch Case Protector (like R&G) and Frame Sliders? Or Would you run GB Covers WITH Frame Sliders?

I feel like with Frame Sliders, both engine cases will be protected.

Great question. I have frame sliders on some of my motorcycles and not on others. Depending on the event (drop bike while stopped, low-side on clean race track, low-side on complex street...) frame sliders can be a benefit or a disaster. I do not believe I will run frame sliders on my V2, but each person will need to make that decision.

Gotcha. Thanks. I’m running the R&g engine sliders but they don’t protect the fairings. I know frame sliders aren’t for fairings but that’s my main reason for wanting them on my track only 899. My V4 is just naked lol with a clear clutch cover.
