Evening all from London,

I have a gauntlet Dainese full metal glove for the past 5 years however no longer goes with my jacket plus I was looking at getting something like the “in glove” that tucks into my jacket... new idea from Dainese.

Could you all share some wisdom as to which gloves you wear, why you wear them and if you recommend them.

asking for a friend :)

I have used Alpinestars Copper Gloves for a couple of months now. It does sacrifice a little protection for flexibility and airflow, but that is to be expected for a summer glove. It still has the knuckle and palm protection, just not as much. They do flow a decent amount of air while still having adequate protection. I do like them and they are touch screen compatible.

If you like full metal gloves, buy new ones that match your jacket! In my mind summer gloves are same gloves I wear on the track, most protection at all times!

Challenge is there is no short cuff full metal. Klim have an interesting option with their induction glove. But was wondering what others wearing here.

You miss my point, and point is forget about short gloves...maximum protection at all times!

I have some winter gloves that rarely get used (I hate riding in the cold). My spring, summer, fall, and track gloves are all the same except for possibly less plastic in the gauntlet for street gloves. In other words, Alpinestars GP Plus for street and Supertech for the track. Either way, lots of protection even in the hot street riding conditions. People sometimes ask why I wear GP Plus gloves in the summer while riding my little Grom, and I tell them that I am more likely to crash my Grom than my big bikes because I do stupid (I mean fun) crap on that little thing, lol. I like my skin.

I have not tried the full metal gloves. It bugs me that Dainese doesn't protect the low-side broken pinkie finger by joining to the adjacent finger.

Regardless of weather I believe that provided they fit well, the slide and impact utility come first, then dexterity, warmth etc with style a dim last. For summer you can get perforated leather or shorties but personally I would never give up the protection and ride without a gauntlet style glove.

I prefer these. Ducati Red nail polish, optional
