Found a place in Lake Forest called LAP Motorsports.

really happy with them, the guys there spent most of their careers working as specialists on race teams.

they really enjoy the work, give really good advice, and most importantly take a meticulous craftsman approach, which combined with their technical know how makes me feel pretty happy I found them.

really nice bunch of guys too

nothing wrong with the guys at Ducati Newport Beach’s service department, but feel much better finding these guys with all the work being done on the bike.

I know those guys. One or more of them used to run Metric Mehod, which closed a year or so ago.

It's not Socal, but Gary Dean at Speed Demon Motorcycles in Las Vegas is a good option for anything highly technical. He did a lot of the tuning/setup on Kyle Wyman's V4R during his first year in MotoAmerica, before Kyle sprung for the majority of the Corse catalog. Motorsport Exotica also has some good guys and have a racing team. It isn't surefire, but I've always found dealerships/shops that have teams or build racing machines lean a little more toward helping you buy/build the bike you want instead of telling you how cool your bike would look outside of starbucks if you bought the whole Rizoma/Ducati Performance catalog.
