Has anyone commented on the torque drop???

Hey guys, I've been away from the forum lately but haven't seen anyone comment on the dyno graph (I know it's super vague) that Ducati Provided on the 1299 in this link on their site...

It seems to have the same torque dive at 5,000-6,500RPM that the 1199's had...

And I do not mean it's lower than the 1199's (in power output etc etc)...I'm just simply pointing out the engine characteristic that 1199's had apparently the 1299's will have as well in the lower RPM's...

With an increase in bore I wouldn't really expect that torque curve to fill in much anyway.

lol...on that note, has anyone with full exhausts completely eliminated this plunge/drop in power in that area of the RPM's???

Akrapovic seems to be able to fix it on the 1199 for about $2,700...

My RapidBike Race tuning module hasn't completely eliminated the hole, but has significantly (10+ hp at the wheel) increased the midrange performance of the bike.

This is my back-to-back dyno run with the RapidBike Race auto-tuning module vs. the Termignoni slip-on up-map. The bike is a 2012 base that has the MWR HE air filter and Termi slip-ons, and we used the RapidBike bypass plug to do the "no-RapidBike" run, so this graph shows the difference between the Termi slip-on up-map as the only tuning vs. the RapidBike auto-tuning module engaged with a map that was developed over 1,000 miles of street and back-road riding. Waaay cheaper than an Akra...

hp only tells one part of the story, the torque graph is what is important in my opinion

akrapovic exhaust with full custom tune via tuneboy. There is still a dip in torque but alot less than in standard form. will be interested to see if the 1299 is better
