After fiddling a bit I am stating to get the impression that the DP alarm I have is a different model to that described in it's manual !!
OK, so there is a 3 button remote and the manual describes the function of button A and B (big left and right): button A arm/disarm, B panic.
There is no mention anywhere what button C (small at bottom) does.

Also I find that with the Alarm armed I can sit on the bike, pop up the side stand and leap around without triggering the alarm !!! Not what I expected to say the least. It does trigger immediately on key-on.
So I figured on adjusting the sensitivity - manual says: key-on, then within 5 seconds button A to increase sensitivity, button B to lower. I find button A beeps, and button B sounds the panic alarm. No way can I get the alarm to trigger on movement. hmmm.
If during key-on I press C then the brake lights start flash like hazard lights - no idea what this mode does.

Also no flashing light on dash to show armed state.

All round lots of weirdness and not really a useful addition at this point.

Yup I had to up the sensitivity to get it to go off. Only issue is it takes about 10-15 goes to get it into the adjustment state (Key on + A) Just keep trying, it does work.

I think I need to change my setting as well, but does anyone have the issue of not being able to turn the alarm off if you have left it on charge overnight. I always have to turn the key first and activate the alarm, then turn the alarm off with the remote. If I'm out for the day and arm the alarm, I can then deactivate it the same way without having to turn the key first????

Took mine back to the shop regarding the descrepency between what the instruction says and what it actually does; the dealer is waiting for more info on the flashing light issue. I turned my sensitivity up to the second from highest setting and it goes off when I sat my gloves on the seat. (which is what I want) The highest sensitivity made the alarm sound when another bike pulled up next to my bike.

Right now my bike is at the dealer getting a new engine because oil started leaking and they couldn't figure out why. :(
