Has anyone messed with the Engine Braking Settings?

I've heard hearsay and conjecture that switching into EBC mode 3 turns your Pani into a 250 with no engine braking at all. Anyone got first-hand experience? I might get into EBC 2 tomorrow playing around with stuff. I love the configurability of this bike! I pushed my dry suspension settings to all maps and love going from 202hp in the sweepers to 120hp in the switchbacks!

It's like a 250 but not quite the same. Takes away almost all engine brake. It's pretty neat and helps smooth corner entry.

250 is bit exagerated but it does make a big difference... i go for EBC 3 on spa as the long sweepers let you carry speed even of the throttle... on shorter tracks and especially chicanes or tightening turns, EBC 2 does keep you tighter through the turns.. it also makes a bifg diff what gear you select. if 2nd, ebc 3 can just carry you whereas in 3 ebc2 will keep you from running wide... both choices, if chosen well will keep you more loaded / stable through the turns...

get it wrong and the bike will get jerky or understeer.... not things you would want to have..

it's a feature not to be neglected as it influences the bike in a important way..

Love having the ability to change it based in your riding. Mine has been on either 2 or 3 and 3 while not quite a 250 like feel definitely take a tad getting used to

I shut mine off. I ride exclusively on the street and it was hard for me to hold the throttle steady trying to prevent the engine from jerking so much. I can still feel a little bit of engine breaking between 1st and 3rd gear but once I get to 4th I don't feel anymore.

I thought this muppet was banned???? Wtf are you on????? People this person is in need of some serious help and I mean serious help, echolalia, repetitive statements that are what I would describe as word salad with nonsensical paraphrasing. I hope you are not a postal worker or have access to high schools and firearms as you are one dangerous Mo Fo!!!!! Or you have a warped sense of humour that not even I can understand!!!!!!

Switching EBC off will make the engine breaking more pronounced.

I ride on setting 2 and it makes roll off/on much smoother for street riding.

Been riding with EBC on 3 for the last month after reading it rides smoother.
This weekend went back to EBC 1 as the braking is much better on EBC 1, wich is a lifesaver riding in street traffic.
I would say, on the circuit EBC 3, on the street EBC 1, just my 2 cents ;)

I use EBC 3 on both rain and sport (in which I commute), and only drop to EBC2 for my race (my race of for mountains, not track). I come from an Aprilia RSV4R which is MUCH smoother and I had a shock dealing with the torque and engine braking of the V twin. Even on EBC 3 it has harsher engine braking than the Aprilia. So I love it. I rather use brakes to slow (especially with the ABS) than engine braking.

Off setting turns this "added" feature completely off as in "no use"... In turn our bikes will feel the full fledged engine breaking that the V-twin makes. If you want the least amount of engine breaking set this function to 3.. "I know, confusing"
