Ok, just wondering if anyone has removed their charcoal canister from the 939 or 950? I believe its the same canister as every other Ducati out there?
There's a really nice how to guide for the 1199 on this forum. I'm going to use this guide as an aid.

I would also like to know. Also the SAS system. I just got my 950 SP back from the 600 mile service and am riding it harder and there is a lot of decel pop. Almost feels like it is running pretty lean.

About three years ago my 1199 started getting hard to start when hot. I read on the forum that removing the canister will fix that problem. I removed the canister and it has not been hard to start since. Not going to lie, I was skeptical. But it worked.

carl, did you take that off a 950. I was having a look this morning and looks like it is on the left side but it really is tightly packaged in there so at this point I am leaving it.

Removed canister and related hoses then soldered a resistor in its place so it doesn't throw a CEL.

Removed mine! Didn't notice a difference in the ride. Replaced it with a oil catch can for the moment do to my oil issue.

Defininitly a symptom of a lean cond.

Has anyone removed the canister on the 950 yet? Not sure how to access it. From the bottom left, but how?

Anyone?

Who don’t get home with their new or used bike and remove the seat tank and fairings (or more : ) to see what they got, what is loose, what’s screwed up, and what’s gotta go?

Thought that was normal procedure for ANY bike purchase?

Hey Don
Since your bike is in pieces do you know the weight of the aluminum tank ?
I want to know the difference between that and the steel tank on the 899. Ive been searching but haven’t find anything specific
