I used to also think that the v4r was limited to 500 units but that's not the case
Last time I checked, V4R service intervals are the same as 1103 when not used for closed-course competition
If you thrash your bike, more frequent maintenance might be necessary…or not. You do you!How do I find pictures of craig's bike?
... eh, I think I wanted the R to be more limited than it was...
so it's not possible to place a higher than "normal" stress on an engine outside of closed course competition? copy
That bike has had “MANY” different parts on it over the lifetime of the build. Interesting what they settled in selling it with. Seems like the project hit a point then never went anywhere. Pluses, Motec, “REAL” SBK swingarm all the rest is pretty standard. They elected not to include the latest Ohlins forks which they did have in the deal. Super nice bike but I’d pass. You did a great job Steven.
His bike first appeared in the COTA thread. It's legit AF for sure.

You have a mechanical craftsman who takes pride in the precision and uniformity of a perfect weld pattern and right next to him is a guy with a sander who thinks that welds are unsightly and need to be blended. To the true craftsman and the builder who really gets the details, knows the “right “ parts and can engineer the package most of the magic is in what is not seen.
Craig, Steven, Karl, Mr Wayne etc have done a nice job in giving this place some balance showcasing some outstanding efforts. It’s a nice brake from frosting and sprinkles on a moldy cake. Excellent work.
