Agree, anyone who really thinks they are so badass should go to a track and be humbled. doesnt take skill to crack open the throttle on relatively straight roads with gentle curves. To each his own, its the other riders/drivers on the road that could get hurt that i'm concerned about:confused:

i fully agree. but on the other hand, upping the pressure and welding shut all the pressure valves must lead to something bad.. something's gotta give...

in the end, there were not many people around that the dude could hurt. if the dude knows the place and how to ride, even the harm to himself is a calculated risk...

Life will never be safe... and trying to make it safe will cost the same in another way... somewhere else...

I will post the 1199 video. As for risking my life  Let me stop you right there, I can tell by that little intake of breath what's coming next. Thank you in advance, but I already know that motorcycles are "dangerous." After nearly twenty years of riding on the streets, I am aware; telling me now will not be a revelation. It is not an insight into my lifestyle that has remained hidden from me until this, the moment of epiphany when you shine the light of outsider wisdom on my foolhardy choices. There are ways I can minimize the risk "” by riding defensively, riding sober, knowing my own and my machine's capabilities, etc. "” but I also know there are some risks that are simply beyond my control. But you know what? There a lots of risks that are within my control. We've become so pathologically risk-averse that for most people it is inconceivable to assume any additional risk no matter how much joy you might get back in return.

This is like reading Hemingway...
..."Kevin" Hemingway.

forget it, we had this discussion already a year ago... went on for pages...

i don't step in here. been riding fast and always will. no reason to put that up here. so i can only say:

opinions are like ........, everyone has their favorite...

and to quote myself again:
forget it, we had this discussion already a year ago... went on for pages...

thanks.

At some stage Darwin and his theory will step in here....

Rocked up at an accident once after a full day of riding with friends who are properly fast on the road... We saved the guys life, but he had massive injuries including having his foot ripped off...

Defend ur self by all means, abuse people at ur peril, karma has a way of slapping abusive people square on the ass... U might know the road, and how to ride... Clearly shown in the initial film... I've spent time with quadriplegics who feel imprisoned in life now after an avoidable incident... Like most here I don't normally bother with this crap... It's not the "no fear" attitude people are having a go at... It's the potential for an innocent person getting injured...

It doesn't take a big man to abuse people on media, takes a bigger one to apologise or understand... I am often in NYC for business.. Be good to look u up and have this discussion face to face big fella... Most of us who race have a healthy respect for life...

Appreciate u will reply, please use words of more than one syllable so those of us with a semblance of interest will read your drivel... I was actually interested in ur point of view until ur abusive triad...

Let me know if ur keen to take me up on my offer, I'm in the US for Daytona race week at this stage...

Hey Trauma, don't waist ya time buddy... We have a saying... "Pay ya money and take ya chance"

Get him out to the IOM or NW 200.. Be happy to show him the way round the island... Seen bigger and better riders more deserving taken... Karma will tap the fella on the shoulder...
