Hey guys,
Was wondering if any of you have figured out a way to lessen the heat coming off of the top head. My right thigh sits right on the top heads heat shield and its not so fun. Just was wondering.

Ceramic coat or tape wrap

You are the MAN Craigslistbuyermn, you are so knowledgable on so many topics.

You should be the new forum moderator! You couldn't .... this place up anymore than you have already, so why not hit that moderator apply button!

How so ? What have I done ?

I believe there are some people who are so pathetic they waste their time in insanely juvenile ways tryin to irritate and/or 'mess up' an Internet forum under the guise of some twisted and righteous revenge for fantasized wrongs.

... But succeed in merely illustrating how hollow and ridiculous their lives really are.
To surmise- these people are ....... losers.

Have you got the cover kit fitted that comes with the new exhaust heat shield update?
That seems to work

I haven't figured it out yet either, but it became a LOT less of a problem once I relegated the Pani strictly to "fun duty" on twisty country runs. Sitting on her in traffic is awful and I'm not sure there is anything to be done about it, but I have been watching the heat shield thread/poll closely since I am still running the old heat shields. There doesn't seem to be a clear consensus on whether or not the new ones make much difference though.

I've had a 2012 S and now have the R with the new head cover... and it makes a lot of difference. Isn't it supposed to be a free upgrade for the older Panis?

Mines a 13 s so it has the new stuff on it. I've seen a couple guys have removed the heat shield for the head and was wondering if that had changed anything. And yes slimming the thighs down would help but I'm not a little guy so that's out :)
