Yep, heated gear on a Panigale.

Dare I place my neck under the guillotine and ask if anyone has put their Panigale stator to the test by using heated gear?

Main questions are: How's the stator holding up? Has anyone done an electrical test (check amps/volts) to evaluate how it affects the electrical system/battery/stator?

Any issues with the Panigale going bezerk because of the extra draw?

Hopefully, those who ride year round and brave the low 30s will have answers? (Love to hear from those with experience on this, like Gunny Fitz, Capt CF, duckyduc, & AntiHero).

The only heated gear I had came from the seat. And once it dips into the 40s, the blazing saddle gives off none.

Oxford heated grips for me, before you say you ....., soft .... etc etc, I have Raynaud’s, a condition that causes loss of circulation to the far extremities of the limbs, metacarpals and metatarsals, fingers and toes, they go white, lose feeling and the loss of sensation makes it difficult to feel if you are braking or not, I get this all year round, even in the middle of a hot summer, it sucks, however the Panigale's bars do not vibrate as much as other bikes so finding this less of an issue as previous rides. I also run a radar detector and no issues so far with battery, current draw etc.

I haven't done any testing to see what the effects are, but I have run Gerbing's heated gear on my Pani a number of times with no problems. My unscientific "I have done it and haven't noticed any problems" testing hasn't been as extensive on this bike as on other Ducs though so I don't know if it will have any long term effects. My main commuter bike is a 2010 Streetfighter and that one has had the same heated gear run on it pretty much daily from Nov/Dec to Feb/Mar for almost 4 years and 23k miles. I am careful to never start the gear until after the bike is running and always shut the gear off before shutting down the engine. I'm still on the original battery in my SF as well.

I have killed my Beer's battery a few times forgetting to turn the seat off. I really need to put in a relay :(

I've used heated gloves and vest on my Pani with no problems. I've monitored the voltage using the dash and it seems fine but I haven't monitored the current.

Bought my S back in December. Rode all New Jersey winter long in 10+ degree weather and was warm for every minute. Gerbings jacket, pants, and T-5 gloves all worked fine with the supplied connector to my Pani's battery. Rode 2900 miles in weather under 55 Degrees and haven't had a single problem.
