Heated handgrips question

I guess I’m the only one then who gets up at 5am to do a 1000mile weekend on his Panigale and the temperature is 5C.
You enjoy polishing your ride and riding when it is 20C+.
I enjoy the heated grips and riding all day n

whatever suits you - enjoy the ride - you’d be better off on a GoldWing...."jus sayin"

The part comes with a new throttle housing

It's actually on the section with the engine start button next to the throttle housing. In addition to the button, there's two wires with terminators plugged into them which are meant to feed the grips. It's not an add-on kit so much as meant to be a dealer installed option. Which is dumb AF. I can't imagine there's a difference in parts cost which really effect the profit margins. But, you don't have the nice squishy grippy grips if you have the heated ones.

Lol . Ok.
I guess you’d be like the guy that criticised my Ducati because she was muddy when I parked up at a bike meet...on the way home from a long weekend.
Hey...I’ve also fitted an automatic chain oiler too.
Ive toured Europe on my RVF as well. Maybe I should leave my sports bikes for just admiring and never ride them.
:D

all good...(european lifestyle aside) i just don't get the winter style riding on a sport bike, let alone a panigale.....but i've seen worse (especially in europe), personally i'd go for e-gloves instead of the grips...but i've long since hung those up, as pointless - unless i was touring/maybe

i'm not one to criticize (maybe spelling) ;) -- if it's Ducati dirt/mud i wouldn't care if it jumped on to my bike....i carry a Swifter for those hard to reach places at the "bikes and coffee & lawn chair" Sundays

no thank you on the chain oiler...i'd pass (too messy)

europe...been there, done that..have a ton of TShirts (lived there for 4yrs) - few trips across the USA as well...

the post about heated grips caught me mid-winter in the midst of cabin fever, normally i'd move right past it

personally, with the variety of motorcycles available today, picking the right tool for the job makes more sense to me - i understand how others do what they do - but sharing opinions is what the forum thrives on so:

on a sport bike, if i wanted scenery, i'd buy a postcard

In the heat of the summer in the uk, the average temperature is 19C. Gah.
I guess though not sure which I’d want - warmth but straight roads or miserable cold and the Lake District within 20mins of riding.
Thinking further if I lived near a track - I’d go for warmth!

:)
