Hi all,

I've been part of the forum for a few months now, lurking, learning etc. I appreciate the effort everyone puts in to share, help and communicate on this forum. I picked up my Panigale S ABS in Feb and I ride out every weekend with the Desmo Owners Club here in Dubai. I've been on the track 3 times so far - and have loved it (1. 2nd Anniversary of DOC, 2. Level 1 California Superbike School, 3. Standard Track Day).

I'm in love with the bike, especially the looks and handling. After 7 years of not riding, I found it a breeze to get back into the game and get my knee down for the first time in my life.

I live in sunny (360 days a year) Dubai, I'm an Australian (Brisbane, Queensland) by upbringing/nationality and Egyptian by birth.

Looking forward to contributing some to the forum now.

My first project is to make the bike more track friendly with:

1. Race Seat
2. Rearsets
3. Levers
4. Protection (Generator/Clutch/Rear Shock/Swingarm)
5. Replacement Plastics (I still need lights for night track rides)

Any suggestions would be well appreciated, as I'm still browsing the forum for the different set ups you all have.

Cheers,

Mike

Hello and Welcome.

You say Sunny, but blazing HOT!! I've been to Dubai and loved it.

Many options with aftermarket parts so really research to see what you want. I dont want to recommend on the specifics because they all are really peronsal perferences.

Rearsets- you can look into DP, Rizoma, Lightech, Sato to name the few
Levers- ASV, DP, Rizonma, Lightech and etc
Protection- Sato makes Engine sliders, Rizoma makes nice looking front and rear sliders, clutch and generator, you can go with DP but others are out there that is probably better for protection.

Greetings!

Mike-

Welcome to the club man! I think we all need to do a member trip to visit you over there and see what the speed limits are! Ghost Protocol style !

Congrats and keep it on one wheel !

Hi Mike!!

Good to have you here! Now we need to get the rest of the Club's Pani owners on here!!!

Are we out for a blast Friday morning !!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

@Warp Racer: I've seen pictures and static displays of these souped up cop cars - but I've yet to see one in my 7 years here!

@ShiftTechCarbon: I'm not sure if I've met a Mark, I'm crap with names - much better with faces. Have Mark shout out on the DOC Dubai Facebook page so we can get to know him better.

@Delta One: Planning to ride this Friday, even if it is the last day my mom his here for a visit!

Doh! Looks like I spoke too soon! Just saw that police Lamborghini on my way home. I still have doubts they actually use it - looks like a gimmick to me.

Welcome. Some like it hot some like it cold (geography).;) Personally I find the seat heater a treat up north. :D
