So just joined up to the forum.
Picking up a new 1299s on Friday from owning a 899.

So looking forward to the experience.
Any tips from anyone.
Regarding gear changing do you have to be a certain revs to change up or down ?
Also a nightmare to insure due to its value but got there in the end with Ducati Insurance.

Welcome to the forum. As with any bike you'll know when the bike wants to shift. The quickshifter works best when going close to or at full throttle.

Congrats on the new bike for Friday! Where are you picking up from? I got mine last April from InMoto Croydon (I'm in Beckenham). Which way do you head out for rides: into Kent or down to Surrey? Hopefully see you out and about soon....
