Hello, new user and got some enquiries so thought I'd do the good stuff and post an intro thread. Hopefully the images work, the office systems do not like photobucket and I havn't used it in years.

So I used to do this stuff before discovering two wheels

I met a hot Italian and she 'instructed' me that a motorbike licence was an essential ingredient in this relationship. Having never been on a motorbike
I hired a little 125cc in january this year and took her on many 6 hr 'practice' adventures at not-very-many-miles-per-hour which she really enjoyed (haha :) ) in first gear on her Ducati Monster(RIP) and then did a weeks course to get my full licence.

I went straight to the dealers from the licence center and bought myself a Honda 2003 CBR600f which I only crashed twice :smash: It was a good learner bike but didn't quite pull the heart strings so after six weeks and 2000 odd miles I decided I was grown up (stupid) enough to buy a 2003 R1 which I only low sided once due to cold tyres (lesson learnt).

Twelve weeks experience seemed like a good time to do some track instruction so I popped along to Ron Haslams school and played on some Fireblades.

I didn't die and surprisingly was quick enough to go straight into the fast group at trackdays

The new Fireblades were so much better than the older bikes plus having delusions of being a hero made me really want a newer bike. So a little advanced man maths later and after test riding a Daytona 675 (amazing bike but I needed a bit more power), I ended up buying a Ducati Panigale 1199s.

So there you go, very much hope to meet some of you fine people one day. Feel free to come visit us in the UK  and maybe we'll see you in the US.

Come over and ride, there are some amazing roads, some areas even far exceed Dorset & Devon

Genuinely would love to and we are planning on doing it, possibly next year. As well as riding, we rock climb some we're right up for checking out the national parks and what look like amazing roads. I guess we'd need to hire bikes; I've seen Harleys and cruisers for hire but I'd much rather be on a sports bike.

Thats perfect, definately going to look at that as they do the locations we are considering as well. Thanks mate :)
