Hello to all Ducatista!

My name is Aleksei, and I live in San Diego, though I was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. I recently became the proud owner of a 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 and am excited to join this community!

Before this, I owned a 2023 BMW R Nine T and two 2024 Kawasaki ZX10Rs, which I used for track days. I’m passionate about California’s scenic twisty roads and race tracks. One of my dreams is to ride on the iconic Sachsenring and Brno circuits.

I’m a big MotoGP enthusiast, fascinated by the technical innovations and strategies behind the sport. I deeply admire the Ducati Team for their achievements and professionalism and find Marc Márquez’s determination truly inspiring. I also hold great respect for Valentino Rossi, who has shaped the world of motorsport in extraordinary ways.

As I begin my Ducati journey, I’m preparing for my first service and would love to hear tips and advice on maintenance and tuning for this amazing machine.

I look forward to connecting with fellow Ducatista, sharing experiences, and learning more about your bikes!

Man, EPIC first post. Welcome buddy.

I served in the Navy out in San D! was on an attack sub on the point loma base!

Freaking time of my life out there! Southern Cali is next level awesome, I wish my industry had more of a presence out there, I’d move back in a heartbeat!

Great first ducati too, I’m supper Jelly! I buy them 3-5yrs later, second hand myself.

Hold on that tune, give the tuners sometime to figure out what’s what…I’d avoid BT but that’s just me…

Change your oil often! Do your first change in the first couple hundred. Are you mech inclined? If so you can save a fortune and learn a lot in the process.

I changed the oil on the ZX10R every 1,000 miles, how often do experienced guys recommend changing the oil on a Ducati?

Welcome and great pics!

I’m pretty new here myself, but can say the crowd here is very helpful. The Ducati manual suggest a break in period of 600 miles. After that first service you can let her rip!

I just reached 600 mi on my 24’ V4. I am eagerly awaiting the Handy S.A.M. lift I ordered to be able to service it myself. I figured that with the money saved from doing services at Ducati I would just invest in a good lift to preserve my back and make the work that much more enjoyable.
