Hello all. Just picked up a 2014 1199 last weekend. It had 956 miles on it when I picked it up. I decided to ride it home (4 hour ride) for a good shakedown run. I had a 999 for several years but parted ways with it a couple years ago. The new bike feels completely different than the old one from a handling experience BUT it’s equally punishing from a comfort perspective, especially on the stock seat. I did all my own work on the 999 so I’m hoping the 1199 isn’t too crazy. I’ve already sourced a service manual so after some tools and software, I’m hoping to be good. Happy riding everyone!
