Help Needed - I messed up big time

I get it however love him or hate him, Campisi, isn’t doing to awfully bad in general.
Probably a cool guy, just has no mechanical value or real riding experience to the community. He brings bling and his girl, that’s about it but that is well aligned for YouTube views. More power to him, feel sorry for the squids that follow him

He’s an entertainer and he is delivering exactly what “his” audience likes which I agree is largely not technically savvy or at times accurate his audience does however represent a much larger demographic than the “tech side” therefore he has as a businessman, vectored his efforts wisely. He’s making a bunch of $$, gets a lot of free stuff, lives in a fantastic home and bangs a hot piece while the majority of his detractors stare at a cubicle wall all day and don’t have a pot to piss in. Personally, his content has nothing for me but I represent an extremely small segment. He’s a smart dude and it’s paying off for him.

Very well said.

The clock is ticking on all of that though. Its one thing to be a flash in the pan, its another to make a career out of something. You never know where someone came from, how they came up etc. All you have is whatever image they present.

Oh for sure as it is with so many other content personalities however Campisi, has been successful in just about everything he touches and I’m sure this isn’t his retirement plan. Look what Matt did with Demolition Ranch and it’s spin-off Off the ranch and Vet ranch. 15m subs. Then he started Bunker Branding all while owning his own Veterinarian clinic. Bottom line is that these guys don’t settle for what’s given and they have a work ethic that allows them to succeed

I have no intention of going to dry but just curious regarding dry vs wet with respect to wear. Is it less overall friction material in dry that reduces lifespan or the fact that oil acts as a lubricant on the wet, or both?

Damn endo, take him to the hair why don't you...lol.

I'd bet her Onlyfans does better than his YouTube.
LOL just keeping it real but your probably right, she probably makes more. Regardless, haters are going to hate, I’m one of them however it’s a character defect I’m trying to overcome. Regarding the Dry clutch, not sure outside of basic engineering/mechanics of what’s what. A wet clutch (shared engine oil) just doesn’t sound right though. What are the other MFGs using (Wsbk, GP etc?) or competitive cars for that matter?

Almost all 2 wheel vehicles use a clutch that is submersed in the oil. Keeps it cooler and less friction I’d assume, and thus more service life.

Cars (competitive and not) use dry clutches as do most high end race bikes as those teams are swapping the plates each race probably anyway. Dry clutch on a bike are easier to change.

It only matters on the street if you're a ducatista, wear at least one item of clothing with a d logo and drink espresso or perhaps a macchiato

That right. They swear the dry clutch sound is “Ducati character” lol. Total marketing ........ because in reality is sounds like a broken machine. The bike sounds better without it. Like I said if I kept it on the street I’d put the wet clutch back in it.

Changing the plates in my EVR (wet) literally takes me 15 minutes if I’m putting along. With electric tools I can pull the cover, pressure plate and discs in 5 min so I personally don’t throw maintenance in the mix. Assembly is a bit more as you need to clean the case and the O ring and torque the pressure plate. No big deal, so the dry clutch offers nothing for me personally from a maintenance perspective. I do know having ridden a 1299 with a dry conversion, I like the the way it shifts (at the lever) better and I’m sure it is from the lack of viscous drag. My point is that changing plates on a wet or dry for someone who does it often isn’t a reason to go dry so there must be a compelling performance/mechanical reason they go dry.

Don’t have to drain with or deal oil at all with a dry system. Not saying it makes it worth it to convert because it definitely isn’t, there aren’t enough benefits for that but probably the top racers looking for every edge.

If my bike came with a wet system I’d of left it that way, I happened to pick up a demo S that already had the dry system. Even when I was steeet riding it for a short time I was going to put the wet clutch back on because the noisy dry clutch is so annoying. Now that it only sees the track I’m not gonna bother going back.

Now that we beat the dry vs wet clutch topic to death as a sidebar, just a reminder that if the OP needs a new clutch system, which I highly doubt is needed, I have a brand new one laying here that I’m willing to sell lol.

Oh and clear clutch covers are still lame :)
