Hello all! Just changed out the brake and clutch master cylinders and reservoirs my V2. I decided to replace the stock rubber lines between the reservoir and master cylinder with clear lines, for that oh so sweet gp style aesthetic. While it looks cool, I am more concerned about the longevity of the fluid inside the clear lines as a daily ridden bike. With all that expose to the sun, am I better off with the original black lines?

Just looking for some education on why clear lines are used and if one is better than the other. Thanks

If its Tygon tubing you are fine. Some clear tubing materials are not made to be used with brake fluid and it can sweat through.

not sure what tubing I used, but took it from a bleeder kit I had lying around. Installed yesterday and everything seems okay.

I am thinking about the future of my little brother. Please give me suggestions for major fields of study in high school. Your opinion would be appreciated.

I use clear hoses on all of mine. It’s a track only bike but I’ve never had issues. I also change the fluid fairly frequently as it’s cheap and easy to do so, let us know how it works for the street
