Here's a good question...do the 11-14 parts fit the 15?

Can you swap everything body panel wise and accessory wise from an 11' model, let's say, to a 15?

Most accessories (Gas caps tails bar ends etc) will probably fit....Body panels are very unlikely to carry over and be interchangeable...

Cause I'm very much considering selling mine and getting a 2015 S.. The way he described the way the abs works in a corner has me sold :).. I love to trail brake hard, but I've tucked the front a couple times on other bikes that's no fun :).. and gosh..the adaptive suspension... yes please!

adaptive suspension for track bike no thanks.

This bike just obliterated resale values of 2012-2014 1199's. As if they weren't already dead. Dealers can't give away new 1199 leftovers for $5000 off msrp.
Be prepared to take a massive hit on resale.

So? It happens every time a new model comes out for any vehicle. We "pay to play", those of us that always want the latest/greatest :)

Ah, but it's NOT adaptive suspension, that's the beauty of it! The HP4 has adaptive suspension. It sucks on the track because it's not consistent and predictable. The 1299S will have Ohlins semi-active "event based" suspension which means it will react only to the g-forces and lean angle, and NOT the actual movement of the suspension. This is the system that was being developed by Ohlins in MotoGP before it was outlawed because it was too effective!

Thank you for clarifying that Jarel. Looks like it may be a 1299S for me than over the $34,000 Panigale R.

...no surprise on the WSBK rules. These racing sports are becoming boring with all the rules/restrictions. Bikes are so outdated to whats currently readily available its sad.

Yes, I do know the HP4 suspension is unpredictable and i don't like it. Besides, this HP4 scares the piss out of me.

I know, I know. But from the ads I've seen and been following you're looking at maybe $15,000 for a bike we paid $27,000 OTD within the past year or so. But I feel ya pay to play. I've done more than my fair share. and thats why now I'm parting bikes instead of selling them. it makes a lot more financial sense if you have the time and patience to strip the bike down and then deal with the 300 PM's of lowball offers.

That being said... a 2014 R Part out is up next sadly  Got myself in a bit of a money bind buying this bike and blowing my savings. I was expecting to be able to get good money for my HP4 which isn't happening and probably won't happen. I'm short on funds and need to prepare a vigorous defense against a reckless driving ticket some pig sent me in the mail a few weeks back. whoops! 1299 plans are delayed big time for me. Then again with an April/May availability I'm not missing out o anything.

Good night all

Signed,
indecisive and impulsive, White13Pani

I have posted this before. Fall of 2011, before I bought my Pani, I was researching depreciation of the base, S, and R. Obviously the R took the biggest hit (as will the Superleggero). These are private sales, not trade ins. So by this chart, the S and Tri take the bigger hits, and base the smallest.

Model year_2008______2009______2010_____2011_______New
1198_____11,320_____11,995____13,200____14,260____16,495
1198S____14,420_____15,180____16,690____18,600____21,995
1098R____18,705_____ _____________________________40,000

WTF . After all your bitching and moaning your buying another Ducati . Did you get some serious head trauma ?
Didn't you just pull a 1199R to bits ?

I don't know what you're talking about.... Just another ...... with a wrong opinion again. My part out of my 2013 yielded me the same dollar amount I paid for the bike back in October 2013. ....And I got to put 11,000+ miles on it and rode it for a full year, basically for free. While you keep posting your bitching about my life decisions I'll laugh my way to the bank :D and then into the dealership.

I think you need to take a look at all my posts the past 4 months or so. I don't see ANY bitching from me in that period. Maybe a little ball-breaking but no real "bitching".... But hey, thanks for thinking of me its so sweet. Its funny how you call the truth bitching. People just hate the truth. Sure, I love the 1199. But I won't ever make it out to be some magical, incredible, dependable, trouble-free motorcycle like so many people on here try to make it.

Yes I'm very impulsive, its my life, I can handle my own. I buy and sell things all the time, its not just bikes. I must be doing something right if I make a year what one of these bikes cost, and I can somehow afford two of them. I don't wipe my ass with money, nor throw it down the drain.
