Congrats and welcome, shes a beauty... New here myself but not to Ducati.
Great pics, I can honestly say i'm a little jealous of you been able to meet these great ducati riders lol.. I see you still have the factory exhaust, any plans on installing the Termis that came with your Tri?

Pics were before the first service, the termis went on at 1000Km , now at 4000km. Worth putting on the bike as always, nice boost, and awesome sound ;-)

Older pic posted previously in another topic From Ducati Abu Dhabi Opening.

Nice vid chap :)

Some interesting scenery for sure - keep it rubber side down!

Cheers Xbox! So when you coming over for a ride? ;-)

Now that is spooky .... after just glancing at the first few replies on Page-1, not 2-moments ago .... I noticed and remembered that invite :p

We'll have to sort something out :)

Cheers Wallaroo! Well you know where they are, so same goes for you , if you're in the neighbourhood welcome to use my 848.

Forum member No Trellis, has a cousin here whom I've ridden with, and I should be meeting up with him in November when he pops over for Cali SBK school. I've been asked to arrange the running in of 14 Pani's on the Yas Marina Circuit with my DOC members for that and the DRE that follows. :)

Looks mighty nice where you are too btw,and not as bloody hot in summer! ;)

We are pretty lucky with the roads, takes awhile to get to them but,..... we have good quality asphalt, decent speed limits, not too many radars, and very cooperative police officers.

Hi All,

I've been off the forum for awhile. There seemed to be a lot of non Ducati/Panigale stuff and arguments, which I didn't really appreciate. However it seems to be better now so I'll try and join in a bit more. :) I'm happy to see many familiar names and also a big thanks to those who sent me mails, despite me not posting.:D

Just because I haven't posted anything doesn't mean I haven't been riding and doing a bunch of Ducati related stuff. ;)

Don't actually have many pics of running in the 14 Panigales I mentioned I was going to do. Dealership here, bought 14 S models to use for DRE (Ducati Riding Experience) and for CSS (California Superbike School) which some of my DOC (Desmo Owners Club) members were invited to run in at the Yas Marina Circuit.

I'm in the back ground wearing a black T.

I then helped out at DRE and loved it so I signed up for the next one which was in February and I had the privilege of being taught the DRE Master Racing Class by Manuel Poggialli , 2 time World Champion, once in 125cc and once 250cc. He won the 250 the year after Marco Melandri and year before Dani Pedrosa, whom you may have heard of. ;) He retired age 25 after having stress and team issues, but has comeback and will be contesting the Italian National Championship on a Panigale ofc!!! Great guy!! Here's a pic of us together after the course.

After that I organised a free track day for Ducati Owners at the Dubai Autodrome. Good turn out with about 50 Ducs on track in 3 groups. Here's me, ahead of 2 Pani's and about to lap a Monster on a red 848, my own white 848 had some issues, so Ducati loaned me one :p

After that I did another level of California Superbike School at the Autodrome. Great fun and learned some new stuff!! I'm just left of Nicky Hayden's Desmo in the white T.

Just this last weekend I got the opportunity of Going on the back of the GP12, during something called Moto X2 which is organised by Phillip Morris the main Ducati MotoGP sponsor. Basically Rossi and Hayden's bikes from last season have an extra seat bolted on and are ridden by Randy Mamola and Franco Battaini (Official Ducati MotoGP test rider for last few years) and you get to go on the back. To say the least it's an experience hard to put into words, and I have a whole new definition of speed and admiration for MotoGP riders  . While there I was very well looked after by Ducati and Phillip Morris, new helmet, gloves, and leathers, drinks, lunch, umbrella girls!!!! the whole 9 yards and more. I also got to meet Paolo Ciabatti the Ducati MotoGP project director, who was there. Totally awesome experience, and if you get a chance to do it, and manage to pass the required medical!!! Then go for it, I highly recommend!! I'm the blond guy back row 3rd from right

In between I have also been putting a few clicks on my own Pani ;) rather than only riding other peoples bikes. Here are some pics a member of my DOC took of me while on our weekly group ride.

This was on what we call the Camel road bowl which is in the desert and I'm doing about 210 Km/hr.
Heres another one of me on my Tri riding in the mountains, my buddy Ziad is on his Red S just behind me.

Well that's all from the last 4-5 months. The first MotoGP race is next week in Qatar, which is not too far from me so I'll be hopping on a plane to attend. If I get any good pics I'll post them up here. Any particular requests pic wise let me know!

Welcome back. It might not be efficient, but the forum has a way of righting itself, thankfully.

Wow, I'm jealous! Thanks for posting your story and pics. You've got some great roads, tracks, bikes, people to ride with. I wish CSS would use the pani in their school, here they only use S1K's. I did the first 2 levels in Feb and will do 3/4 in July. It took a few days to get used to the pani again afterwards.

Welcome!!!

Been to UAE few times.

I may have to visit you next time for sure after looking at the pictures above.:D

Welcome back Delta One, thanks for sharing your fantastic pictures you should share notes with AntiHero.

Thanks Gents!

@ Bronch Over here we get the UK CSS instructors, I believe in UK they use Yamaha's, however it doesn't make sense to fly those over here. The Ducati dealer here also holds the franchise for CSS and helps Ducati Corp. do DRE at Yas so that's why they got 14 Panigales for it, cross branding is the official term I think ;)

@ YoungR Anybody coming over is always welcome !!

Hi Gents,

Just to update you, went to the opening round of the MotoGP in Qatar courtesy of Marlboro / Phillip Morris.

They looked after me really well, Free business class flight, Cool corner suite in the W hotel, VIP tickets to the race, and full access to the Phillip Morris Ducati VIP Lounge with free food and drinks. They even gave me and another guy, a 7 series BMW with chaufeur at our full disposal for the nearly 3 days we were there. Can't say more than it was absolutely awesome!!!

Nicky and Dovi came down and gave some interviews to Randy Mamola in the lounge, there was some draws for signed stuff from both. Incredibly I got to have another go on the Desmosedici MotoX2 bike this time with Randy Mamola riding. That happened after the final practice session on Saturday night. I also got a tour of the pit just a couple of hours before the race on the Sunday.

I had an absolute blast, and the race was wicked too. Dovi on the Duc starting ahead of Rossi on a Yamaha was priceless!!! I was happy for Rossi he finally got a Podium , but watching him pull into the pit on the back of a Ducati was even more priceless!!!!

I'll post a couple pics I'm in here and then create an Album/ Post in the racing section called "2013 Qatar MotoGP" I got some good shots but also got some from the Phillip Morris/Ducati photographer which are large file sizes, suitable for a wallpaper even and which you may not find anywhere else.
