Hello all. I live near Houston and currently ride an '08 hayabusa. I almost bought a 1198 some years back but decided to hold off until the much anticipated "new model" was to come out and I'm very glad that I did! The panagale appears to be everything that I had hoped for. What a gorgeous bike and after reading the reviews and watching the onboard video I'm very optimistic that all the hype will be reality.
My busa will probably remain my commuter but maybe not. I haven't ordered yet and will wait until I can lay eyes on one and see how it feels sitting on it. One of my local dealers says the first one will be here at the end of the month.
I'm 5'9" and 150lbs. I think the bike will fit me well.

Cheers.

An Hayabusa as a commuter? You are a pure freak.

(And I mean it as a compliment. :))

Welcome aboard!

We go throughout the year in all kinds of weather, battling the fools in their cages while trying to avoid the police.

OrangeBusa,
Hey, I'm in Houston as well. I commute on an R1 and 1098 sometimes, so you aren't the only crazy one!

I'd consider selling the 1098 and looking at a 1199, but I doubt I'll fit--6'3", 230lbs... :-( 1098 fits me well...

PM me, let's ride sometime.

Hello Greg..
I live in Spring and ride to Baytown and the back. Always an adventure. Do you do any track days?

Yep, done a few at MSR Houston, a track down in Angleton. Lots of fun!

Welcome Busa ! Greg , I'm sure you've read how " roomy " other tall riders have found the 1199 to be , with the higher , wider bars and slightly lower pegs. Don't count yourself out just yet.

It is what they say. I am 190cm and about 88 kg and when I sat on the bike I found it less tiring on the wrists comparing my 1198S. The tank is narrower, but I had more feeling I was in the bike then on top of it.

It's a nice bike ! I don't even have the bike yet , and I'm already looking to the future. I can't wait to roll back out of the shop after getting my break-in service ! It's gonna be a BEAST !
