Hi,
I have just got a V2 and even on short rides and the local temp was 17c/62f the fans always are running when I stop.
I've never stopped and the aren't running. The bike is around 102c/215f when I stop.

Is this normal?

Thanks

fan comes on at 217 then cools to 214. normal

At a stop, it goes up a degree every two seconds. Going 35, a degree up per mile. At 43 it will hold steady if your in 4th not third which is boarder line the minimum rpm.

It is the nature of the beast with the euro 5 tune

But is your fan on every time you stop?

yep. If you stop at a 180 second light, the fan is going to come on.

I go around town taking rights so I dont have to wait at lights.

As an add on to the OP's question - how quickly are ya'll getting up to 180-200F? I've had mine since they first released, and I swear it's getting hotter more quickly than it did initially - though I may be imagining it. For reference, today's ride was 70F and it was up to 195 after a short 6 mile loop with no stoplights - averaging about 40-50mph.

you might need to clean the bugs and gravel out the lower radiator air passages.

I've got guards installed and I'm pretty meticulous about keeping everything clean, but I'll certainly double check!
