Hot start problem

Is the consensus that removing the charcoal Cannister is a real fix? I just picked mine (new to me) back up from dealer. Bought 2012 (1330 miles) and rode 3 days. Started hard, like everyone describes. On Friday, it didnt start.. cranked.. didnt fire. Tiny bit of gas.. ......KINDA runs.. BAM.. back fires and stops dead. Wont crank.. starter wont kick in.

Asked about "push starting" and dealer said "you can try it"... but it would fire and not run.. rough running... like NOT being allowed to run. Told dealer.. I think the starter not disengaged... the way its acting.

Dealer comes and gets on trailer.. I push for loaner for the ride I had planned on Saturday and they give me an 899. IT DOES THE SAME THING.. hard hot starts. (Dealer Service managers words today when I picked up my bike "Its a ducati.. hard hot starts a dime a dozen. Every bike seems to do something different". oy.........

The Starter catestrophically failed, meaning the commutator came apart.. evidently stayed engaged... which makes me ask "ok.. what did it do to the flywheel and internals?".. Dealer said we checked flywheel. Sigh.. buy my "dream bike" and have failure within 3 days.........

Soooo am I in for frustration when restarting hot all the time??

I had my dealer remove the canister on my Monster a month after I bought it last year and had it removed on my 899 before I rode it off the lot.

It is not a Panigale issue, but a CARB regulated Ducati issue.
