If you lose the one and only key you have without a back up key you'll be up ....'s creek without a paddle. The dealership needs one of your keys in order to re-program any additional keys. Without a spare key the dealership has to order a new ECU to start from scratch...Approx $1200!!!!
With that said, it would behoove you to go to dealership and order a replacement passive key to have in case you ever lose the key fob or vice versa.
