Hey Guys,

I hope you guys are all doing well.

I want to have my passenger foot pegs installed on my bike. I have a full Termi system installed. I wanted to know how much installation would cost if I were to have the dealer do it. I am in Southern California.

Thanks in advance for your feedback and all the best.

with full termi it is really complicated unlike stock... because termi header uses two of the holes where the foot pegs go.

It's probably going to cost you 3-4 hours of labor time at the dealer.

Doing it yourself is a little tricky, where you have to pretty much get to the part where you take the seat/tail off. The metal piece where the actual exhaust shield is bolted onto is installed before the seat/tail is applied to the engine/chassis.

You have to be handy with a Dremmel also to cut the pieces off. I say about a difficulty level of 6 with 1 being the easiest and 10 being the hardest.

Takes all of 5 mins to put mine in. And about 3mins to take them off.

Buy another bike for two up, these things are solo's.

Yeah, I haven't met too many girls adventurous enough to go passenger on the Panigale...but, I'm holding onto hope.

Truth be told, the only reason I have my pegs on there is almost purely aesthetic. I think the silver finish breaks up the lines of the large exhaust cowl.

I also can't stand the way the red seat cowl looks next to either the comfort seat or the stock seat. Cheap plastic covering next to the Alcantara. I'd love to find a red seat cowl with the same type of cover as the comfort seat on the section that is the ...... black plastic.

So, as it sits now, passenger and rider comfort seat with passenger pegs.

It is not complicated.

Seat off
loosen front tank bolts, remove rear tank brackets.
Remove lower 2 bolts to rear subframe, loosen top 2
Remove CF heatshield and dremel out marked space
install peg brackets
reinstall CF heatshield

put everything back together

Can be done under 2 hours.

Damn! Even more reason to never put passanger pegs on this bike. I'd lose my mind if I had to remove my Akrapovic shield n dremel the precut area to put on pegs again. This bike is horrible to ride a passanger. Never again.

Hey Guys,

Thank a lot for all the feedback.

Planning to take the lady out for a ride. Wasn't expecting this install to be as complicated as it is.

It is indeed a lot of work to put the passenger pegs on, add to it, I'm not too adventurous when it comes to messing with motorcycles, I tend to break things. The stealership really made it sound easier that it really seems to be. They quoted me anywhere from 70 - 150 USD.

I'm same. Getting the pegs on was easy - finding someone to use them, not so easy :)

good luck riding a passenger. that will last 15 min tops once the heat gets to them. the passengers legs are right there unless you really hate the person dont even bother. my friend tried with his wife. last 10 min pegs came off never were seen on the bike again save your time and money if you are having the stealer do it.

My Termis have been powerkoated (ceramic coating) and I have the carbon heat shield sans metal inner on and have no complaints from my pillion. She is a feisty red head. :D

i have never had a problem with my pegs, rider says she is fine with the "heat" although she commented on back of the supersport was a bit more comfortable; otherwise no complaints. but it was only 30 mins at a time so not very often.

Passenger pegs

Asked my girlfriend of she wanted to go for a ride. She said sure, where are the keys. I had a helluva time keeping up riding her FZR 600! I'm sure as heck not going to be the passenger while she is riding the 1199, so I guess I won't waste my time putting the passenger pegs on:)
