How much would you pay for a very very low mileage Standard with Abs that was Carboned out,,,

Carbon fairings
Carbon tail
Carbon Tank
Carbon hugger
Carbon Fuel tank
Carbon heel plates
Chain guard
Carbon rear spring cover... You get the picture,,, everything Except the wheels.....

And it has Termi slips too

Well if this bike was on the floor at my dealer and was 5% cheaper than a new base with abs I would have to seriously consider it. Sorry I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but it's my honest take as someone who has no chance of buying it anyway so no reason to beat you down. It's just not a new bike anymore. I would take it back to standard and sell it and the parts seperately.

Same old problem, people spend all that money to trick up the bike with all the "extra goodies" and then find out that when selling the bike you can only recover a small percentage of what you have spent. You are better off taking it all off and returning to stock and sell everything on your own. Most people just say to heck with it and take the beating.

Absolutely pull all the goodies off and ebay em. I learned the hard way many years ago on the "ultimate" 996S I dolled up. Never again.

Yup, I agree. Been there done that too many times. I never learn my lesson either.
On that note: PM me if you part out.....LOL

I agree with other replies. Return bike to standard and sell bits. I did it with my old RC51. I got more money selling the goodies on ebay than I actually got for the whole bike when that sold.

Looking at buying........... and that seems to have been missed on here

why dont you tell how much the guys is after
will say its a bargain or can you get "----" off more

also you are convince you want a base?
remember s has the ohlins and the rim

The question is "how much would you pay?". As I said, I would pay up to 95% of a new base with abs. That's what it would be worth to me. The real question. Though is how much is it worth to you? Would you rather have a brand new S or that bike? If the answer is that bike then it's worth whatever an S would cost to you. If you'd rather have a new base with abs than the carbon bike, it's worth less than the base/abs. Make yourself a set of 2 option choices and use your preferences to decide what it's worth.

If you got all the original take off parts, you might do ok, you could sell the standard bodywork and might make a couple grand off it. (including the tank).

Personallly I'd just rather buy a new bike.

Look at the Kelly Blue Book and see what average trade in value it has and also look at average retail or what a dealer would sell for now. I would probably split the differance and then add .20 to .30 cents per dollar on the assessories. That is all I would give.

In other words if average trade in was $13,500 and average retail was $16,000 and it had $5000.00 worth of assesories the I would only offer 15,750.00 to 16,000.00 for the bike.

I just love the suckers that buy all the aftermarket stuff. You only do this if you plan on being the last owner of the bike and do not expect to get any return on your investment. The only way to even attempt to get a good return is to take it off and sell. Then you might get .60 to .75 on the dollars that you spent.

I agree with Brick,

KBB + determine what total for carbon bits would be, then 1/3 of that.

I have added tons of carbon and also sold them on forums when selling the bike and only ever expect to get back maybe 50%. So maybe he'll meet you in the middle.

Remember, a reality is that you may need to sell this bike within a year and won't want to be upside down in it...

If we're talking a few hundred miles, then I wouldn't mind paying a thousand or a bit more under msrp (of course not even considering tag/tax/title/dealer fees). Then add up all the goodies and meet somewhere between 33% to 50%.

After all, if it's super low mileage, he can always sell the stuff himself.
