hp 4 carbon

So i was at ducati today to get the new heat shield. Not to install it just to have it and they didnt want to give it to me (thats because i dont want it installed, i just want to have it) After some convincing they made the order. In the service department just built was a HP4 Carbon (dealer sells ducati and bmw). Let me tell you i never thought the BMW s1000rr could be a good looking bike. Now way with that front just impossible.
Let me tell you something. This bike is beautiful despite the ugly front. i can only imagine if it had the front of the 1199 or maybe an r1. The carbon version you get a couple of visual goodies over the regular HP4 and adjustable rearsets things like that but for 20k for the base HP4 i dont see how you can get any other inline but this. You also get a full akra Ti exhaust. Pay attention ducati and stop nickel and dimming us for a SS termi system that loses power.
Im not comparing the 1199 to the hp4 at all thats not the point of this post. the point is for the price the performance is amazing compared to ANYTHING OUT THERE.
 
Yep I agree. Have a deposit down on one. Selling the Harley to make way.

i stood next to a guy at the traffic lights that had just picked it up. 10Km on the clock..
the bike looked damn good for a bike to be turned into a race bike. And of you're not infested with the D - bug, that amount of money will get you something almost unbeatable...
 
I think they're great motorcycles, whether beautiful or not is a different story.

If it was a woman I would admire her curves and call her 'striking', or 'handsome'. As it happens though beauty is in the eye of he beholder and I want it!

I don't know if it's the previous S1KRR ownership or what not, but the HP4 does nothing for me:(.

I had a 2010 S1Krr and actually had a deposit down on the new HP4 comp. After seeing the panigale next to the hp4 at the bike show I decided the panigale looked sooooo much better. Let me just say the crowd at the bike show was around the panigale and maybe 1-2 people were eyeballing the HP4. Hp4 really just looked like any ol s1000 with a new paint job and a couple bling bits.

Not that the HP4 is a bad looking bike, but nowhere near the ducati in the looks dept.

Also, Even though the hp4 has a stonking motor and all that, the ducati is just a more involving bike to ride and I have more fun on it than I ever did the s1000 which just feels like a sewing machine that goes fast.

No argument here. Except for the front end. I don't care how much CF they drip the HP4 in, it's still unattractive as all hell. :(
 
Lovely bike, saw the new Aprilia APRC this past weekend and absolutely gorgeous.

Nice stats.
But just shockingly unattractive.

I think the guy was toying with me, as he flipped me off from over the intersection on one (maybe not a Hp4) , over the weekend! :)
