I can do some work-days as ride-days, But I refuse to wear a backpack.
Who has some off-the-wall, why-didn't-I-think-of-that type ideas?

It won't fit under the rear cover obviously.

I put mine in the back protector pocket of my jacket (dianese Ducati jacket) , fits perfect with the back protector pad and don't notice it!

You got a tank bag? If not get one. I have and have got a clear water tight bag that mine goes into which is attached to top of tank bag, can also use the mapping then on long trips, obviously while I'm stantionary

Dude ! That's exactly the kind of genius I was looking for !
Heading down to the garage to see if the back protector in my Teknic jacket could do this as well. Bravo .

I have a fantastic small (Ogio brand) tank bag that I used on the Busa. Would have been perfect for this.
Unfortunately, it's magnetic and the Pani tank is alloy"¦

Ah that's shame, that's why I got the Ducati one but then that is 200 smackers!

I KNOW you said no back pack but I've got a Kriega 25 and honest to god you won't know you're wearing it from a load/weight point of view nor will you be able to hit the back of your helmet with it like you do with other packs.

This.

I'm thinking about hooking a mount on somewhere. If I get my com system for my helmet , I'll be doing it for sure.

Give it a bit of time, the aftermarket will come up with something similar to what the BMW has, a mount that keeps the bag off the tank and allows a reasonable sized bag.
