Ok guys i think i have the dreaded dash problem. Symptoms are as follows:

Last week after riding was coming home and saw a guy just about to merge int traffic and cut me off. No worries i saw him from a mile away i moved to the other lane and got next to him went to beep at him. NOTHING. tried again a short beep then off. Got home parked the bike got a drink went to put the bike away beeped horn no problem. hmmmmm.

Tonight went riding . something was going on so it was stop and go traffice. went to make a right hand turn. NO SIGNAL. Tried horn. NO HORN. parked bike at home took dog for walk tried signal worked fine. tried horn worked fine. hmmmmm

Please tell me its not but i know it is.

yep. you will get the extra harness with the small box installed and it'll be all good...

dont they have to take the nose off for that. which means they have to remove all my carbon fiber parts. and i have a carbon fiber rear dash piece that connects to the carbon fiber air ducts. which means they will have to take off the side panels too and the mirrors which i just got perfect. FUCKKKKK. i dont want them touching that stuff. then i have to re locktite everything again. also the more you unscrew the bolts the more they dont look clean or should i say look used.

I bet my new hp4 wont have these problems.

You just have to remove the side/top panel thing. It should take 10 min. tops. I ordered my part ($7 bucks) and am doing it myself.

It's an easy, simple fix.

Do you have matte or gloss CF? If it's gloss, don't worry... No one cares. ;)

no new dash, just a wire addition on the left side behind the top side panel

Believe them, it is TSB 881. Or you can get a new dash, send me your old one so I can have a spare...

No need to take the front end off at all. Casey from Coleman took off the black plastic panel as well as the left upper fairing. Installed a black box with double sided tape to the inside fairing. Took him less than 20 minutes. I went riding Saturday and the heat did not cause any dash issues what so ever.

Guys, does the dealer automatically replace that wire? Or do they wait till you have problems?

It is a dealer-issued TSB, but I don't know what Ducati Warranty policy is on it. Someone here posted the actual TSB document. If you look it up maybe it says if symptoms have to be present before they change it out on their dime.

It also depends on your dealer/service manager. Doesn't cost anything to ask...
