Hi all, I brought this up before but the ignition placement on my panigale is right where the chin of my helmet wants to go when I tuck (I'm about 6'1"). Therefore, the helmet usually sits on top of my key and I can't get my head all the way down.
Has anyone ever relocated their ignition? Do you guys have any other ideas or thoughts on what to do? I only use the bike for the track, is there some way to replace the ignition?

Sports Bike developments
Just completed mine
Button ignition, use bar switch stat button as standard
Retain your key switch in a hidden location if you want to retain security

Wound up going with apex since that leaves the most room where the old ignition used to be. Will update once fitted!

Apex is all around just good stuff man. You'll be happy with it.

I'm down in Medford / Mt Laurel area. Maybe we should rally together a Ducati group to hit a NJMP track day when the weather is nice...

Not sure how you can get "more room" than this! ;)

Which one did you go with, the BSD one? I found out the Apex one requires the ABS to be disconnected in order to not draw down the battery when the bike is off. Wondering if the BSD one is similar...

That's the BSD one we just installed on a 1299 track bike we're building for a customer. The BSD kit can retain ABS if you'd like, although we removed ABS from this track bike.

Just following up here. Wound up installing the apex one on my bike and the draw seems pretty minimal. After two weeks, the voltage remained the same on the battery and it works as advertised! Plus the bike looks pretty trick with the skittle looking buttons that the pros have on the handlebars.

jarelj, what did you wind up doing with the plastic covers on the left and right insides of the fairing that cover the wiring to the front fairing? Did you just leave them off? I feel like it looks a little unfinished like that but not sure if there's any other option
