Has anyone fitted one yet?

Any improvement in heat shielding?

It's a significant investment but in theory should do a very good job.

Yes we fitted the MS-Production CCC heat shield and had it on our bike for a week, it helps with the heat.

We sold it to a customer in Australia who had to have one, had no need for it any longer since we run a loop free pipe now.

There is a member here on the forum who made his own version and I read he will be offering them for sale as well.

There will be a factory update pretty soon with a new std guard with covers for the cylinder heads and also a kit for the full termi system guard

Here is a picture of the new heat shield for the full Termi' system.

For the release of the new shield update I am considering manufacturing a custom track rail and lock so I can slide the passenger pegs on and off without removing the exhaust system.

I have not seen the one for the full termi yet but i expect it to be uglier than that one in your photo and probably bigger than the original termi one.
i have seen the one for the standard exhaust and that is larger than the original fitment

Cali,
Who made the Carbon shield in your pic? It looks too scaled back to offer any protection.

SuperGmoney,

The picture is of the new heat shield bracket for the latest full Termi system designed by Ducati Corse for the 2012 Superstock World Championship aka the lastest full Termi' system.

The original picture is taken from the 2013 Ducati Performance accessories catalog. I have attached yet another picture of the shield.

Well, I received the Ilmberger heat shield a couple of weeks back (live in Germany). After installing it a couple of days ago, I took the bike out for a test ride at 12C. What can I say...Awesome!

After doing some extensive highway-and city riding, I parked the bike and was almost instantaneously able to place my hand on the heat shield..practically hand warm. For me definitely the best alternative for the heat issue..definetly worth it!!!

Pics?

I saw a new style Carbonvani heat shield on their website. Looks like it bolts to the underside of the subframe, using the pillion peg bolt holes. That should work pretty well as it will only absorb radiated heat as opposed to the direct fit item which gets transfered heat.;)

Here ya go:

Took the shots with a mobile..quality isnt that good. The flash makes the cover look light grey which it's not...even though its lighter than other carbon parts.

The cover has a graphite touch to it (probably due to the ceramic coating).
It doenst look bad at all, and does what it's supposed to do..keep the heat away.

That my friend, wasn't the idea of the Germans ;)
The heatshield is actually from a US company (at least that's what the plaque states: MS Composites...googled it and its an American company).

They probably baked the ceramic part whereas Ilmberger (german) applied the carbon.

MS-Production is in Slovenia, supplies Ducati Performance with products for the last 20 years. What you found on Google is MS-Production USA that has been replaced now by MS-Production North America who is located in Florida, just down the street from us:), they are the importer for the USA and we know them very well. MS-Production produces the guard in Slovenia and is the sole supplier for it, no other German did apply carbon:). Ilmberger get's supplied with it's products from MS-Production in Slovenia.

MS-Productions sister company is Sicom, the company that makes the carbon/ceramic brakes. All the carbon and the brakes are all done in Slovenia by one and the same company.

They are trying to get the finish to look better, once they do have it perfected then we will also offer them.

Here pic on our Project Bike, where we tested it.
