Hey ciao, welcome. That looks like fun. I kicked around Virginia once made it over to West Virginia. Summers - wow. What a spot.
I'm looking forward to some ride videos from you on that!

yes definitely grear spots! i most definitely will. Bike feels amazing so im excited for some good twisties.

@yk7 what year is your cousin's V4S?

The SP isn't any different, electronics wise, from the 2020+ V4S models. But the 2018 era V4S bikes aren't the same as the 2020+ ones.

His is 2020. He actually rode it yesterday and very surprised too. V4SP calibrated differently the Ducati tech explained to me. Also the Carbon wheels aparently and more weight reduction with some parts taken from Superleggerra definitely makes a different on the handling side i believe.

"Calibrated differently" without further explanation is meaningless.

Carbon wheels make a difference sure, but you haven't given a lot of detail as to what "easier to ride" means.

I'm not trying to be overly critical. But for what, $10K more, I'd expect it to be better. But, the person selling it to be better AF be able to tell me exactly why.

“Calibrated” can also mean the different behavour of the bike due to different components. I believe that is what the tech meant speaking of SP. SP is an S with special winter test livery and numbered bike that inherited some goodies from R and Superleggerra. And to duplicate the SP it sure is more than $10k over an S. There is actually a youtube video about that. I believe a Ducati enthusiast made a parts list and it was close to $25k. So that bein said, $37k absolute bargain. Color scheme and number plate with lots of expensive goodies was convincing enough for me to pay $8k more than a S model. But we are all different with our choices so im sure, for many, SP not worth $8k over a S model. Finding one available was just a luck for me as someone backed out to buy the Superleggerra. If not i was going to cop the new RSV4 Factory.

Don't know what they changed... but I know that the "secret sauce" was enough to cause Fast Bikes to lose their mind over the SP (relative to the 20 S).

Maybe it's the carbon wheels... assume they needed to make some revisions to suspension tuning as well because of those wheels... and the braking probably feels different too.
