I am sure this has been posted before but i am having trouble finding anything for my area. I live in TEXAS. Got pulled over for not having the inspection sticker on my bike. I have the comp werkes LTD fender elimnator kit on my bike and it didnt come with any plate to put the inspection sticker so i didnt even worry about it till i got a ticket. So i purchased an aluminum plate from a local bike shop and got the inspection taken care of. Within 30 minutes of riding the inspection sticker literally melted off due to being so close to the exhaust pipes. Curious what other people are using for the inspection sticker location if the have the LTD comp werkes kit installed? Your input and suggestions/pictures would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

I have the same comp werkes kit with the metal bracket for plate and inspection sticker and it melted mine too. when it gets warmer and i go get the bike inspected, I will get the same metal plate, bend it, put it upside down so that the sticker part is against the bottom of the tail and hopefully not melt off. I think it will work.

Does it have to go on the rear of the bike? I relocated mine to a stainless steel plate attached to one of the front caliper bolts, but that may not be an option in TX.

This is where mine is:

Does the sitcker have to be adjacent to the license plate? Or can it be somewhere else on the bike, rear facing?

If so, that opens it up to some creative locations to mount the plate like the swing arm or suspension linkage or on the hugger/fender.

I usually put mine on the swingarm, the tail or just don't run one until I get pulled over. It's usually a cheap fix it ticket.
I've heard people sticking it inside the trunk as well.
It might be hard to find a shop to place it where you want it, at least it is here. I believe you're supposed to have it rear facing in Texas, but cops in Austin aren't to picky about this.

In MN its a small sticker that goes on my license plate and I use the DP fender eliminator so I dont have to deal with issues of the sticker melting or anything..

We have to renew it before end of Feb every year

I keep my plate in the truck and never inspect it, Oh yeah it's a track bike. Sorry can't help, don't have a clue.
