Bingo! Plexus is the spray the installer gave me. I use the Meguairs Ultimate Polymer wax and the Ultimate spray. It pretty inexpensive and works great. I know there are others that may be better, but I have had no issues.

Does anyone know if there is a significant difference between the bodywork on the 1199r and the tricolore? I want to get one of these sets immediately but I don't know which pieces are going to need to be modified.

just looking at the pics, they look to be identical .

I did put on the 3M tankslapper on my bike, but only the take guards. I don't worry too much about the plastics as they are easier to polish and buff out, as opposed to the little hair scratches that show up on the tank. I do love it, it's invisible. An effort to get on, but with patience it isn't too bad. First time I've ever done it, and it ended up with not a single even smallest of bubble in it. A very big fan. Now unfortunatlely my wife wants me to do the same to her Triumph.

I agree zvez...now that it finally came in today I can put it up against one of the S models to compare. Hopefully only minor differences that can be accounted for by stretching the product.

I thought about doing one of these, I think it's just a good excuse to get new CF fairings. I'm at about 13,000, once I eat the major service I'll order a full CF kit for sure!

Picked up my Pani only 4 days ago and this week I'm getting the XPEL Ultimate self-healing paint protection film. I also have had 3M films on several cars with good results but this XPEL stuff is supposed to be the next generation.

Self-healing in that if it ever gets nicked or deformed from impact (the 3M stuff does get scratched) you supposedly pour hot water on it and it "heals" itself. The guy who did the 3M PPF on my vehicles is doing a 3/4 application on my Pani for $315. Pricey, but so is the bike and I HATE rock chips. It keeps me from going on group rides and following anyone with such a nice bike.

Here is the review from a Porschefile site that convinced me:

Paint Protection Film (PPF): XPel Ultimate vs the others - PistonHeads

Look at this 911, it has the XPEL Ultimate film covering the ENTIRE car:

I did the Tankslapper kit too, but had it installed by a pro. In retrospect, I would have just had my installer do a custom wrap using a combination of appropriate films. If you're looking for one, ask your local car dealerships where they have their clear bras installed...

Good luck!
