I was riding up SR83N today and noticed a huge group of riders. Turns out, it was a memorial ride to the crash scene for a man I met and rode with here who died not too long ago.

He was 68 years old and was riding his R6 at the time. Be careful, you never know when your number's up.

I am absolutely not saying this should have happened, but I have seen his "passing technique" before and I thought he was a little dangerous. Regardless, poor guy... The pick-up has was passing turned in front of him and he died at the scene.

A Tucson man riding a motorcyle was killed after he crashed into a pickup Saturday on the Sonoita Highway, the Department of Public Safety says.

(Name Removed), 68, was killed in the two-vehicle crash on Arizona 83 at milepost 37.2 shortly before 3:30 p.m.

The pickup driver was headed north on the highway and was making a left turn onto Gardner Canyon Road, DPS said.

(Name Removed), riding a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle, tried to overtake the 2003 Ford truck and collided with its left side, DPS said.

The truck's driver and passenger, both from Livingston, Texas, were not injured, the agency said.
