How long did it take you to do the swapp , looks very compact on the Inside not to much room to work with this Ducatis :(

Took about 5-6h for the swap. Took some time as well for the research and modifying the original Y pipe.

Everything is very very tight in there. Can't say is was very easy to clamp and put all pieces together. But now that I've gone through it, I think that someone else can do the same fairly easily.

Another point that bothers me is that it's a little closer to the fairing. I need to find a way to increase the gap a little.

Nice job but Id be worried about that rear wheel clearance. And doesn't the OEM R Akra still have the cats?

Yes. The OEM R Akra still have the cats. Not much louder than stock I would say but the sound is nicer, and they are about 5lbs less.

Like I said. There is about 1/2" clearance from the tire. The tires are brand new (25 miles) and the gap becomes bigger when I sit on the bike. I should be fine. If for any reason it becomes and issue, I'll post back

if you ever feel the need to change to 1299 headers, i have a spare set. (thicker diameters ;) ) lemme know

You know what I wouldn't even worry.

I'm not home at the moment to go and check myself, but if you look at the release photo's of the R, there's no more clearance than in your pictures.

Add a link to the chain. The wheel base on the Panigale R is pretty long. It will add about an inch per link until you hit the limit of the adjuster.

Are they a bit louder than stock 1199 Cans? Glad they worked out.

I just can't say for the moment. They are new so maybe the padding needs to settle a little as well. I'll let you know as soon as the freaking snow melts and that I can test drive them! :)

Phl
How much do you charge to remove cats from this exhaust, will I have to have fuel management for the bike to run properly whit cored exhaust or ECU will adjust and learn on itself

shoot me an email and i get you the full info.

there's more to it than just removing the cats. i always recommend the RB module to utilize the potential power gains, but basically you can run it stock.

While looking at my set-up again last night I noticed this. If you want to install the R exhaust on your 1199, would be a good idea to grind a little from the right mounting bracket that is touching the engine's bolt. Now I understand why I had so much issues aligning and screwing the cans on the frame.
